Using the Code Statistics Tool

To get statistical information about your code:

  1. Open the project or the project group you want to obtain information on.
  2. Optional. Select a component or even a procedure member if you want to narrow the scope of the operation.
  3. Display the Code Statistics dialog box by clicking the Code Statistics button on the Code Edit Tools toolbar or select the same entry in the CodeSMART main menu (quick toolbar and menu references are available).

  4. Specify the operation scope. Depending on the current position in code and the active code or designer window, only valid options are listed.
  5. Check if you also want to include statistical information on all the components of a project or about all the projects included in a project group. These options are enabled according to the target selected at step 4.
  6. Specify if you want to include statistical information about all the controls that were used in the current component, project or project group by checking the corresponding check-box.
  7. Click Begin in order to start retrieving the statistical information. A progress window will inform you on the status of the operation.
  8. When the operation is completed the Code Statistics dialog will be displayed containing the requested results organized in a hierarchical manner.
